Growing up in the heat of South Louisiana, I enjoyed being indoors creating pencil and pen and ink sketches. My love of art led me to study art and architecture at the University of Southwestern Louisiana (now the University of Louisiana). After graduation and a move to East Tennessee, I found myself gainfully employed as a computer programmer, about as far away from an artistic experience as you can get. Living in the very scenic hills of East Tennessee has inspired me to continue my pursuit of artistic interests. My family will tell you that hiking and vacationing with me is interesting, as I am constantly being left behind or wandering off to take photographs of everything I see.
