Looking down into the stairwell of the Ponce De Leon Inlet Lighthouse in south Florida, both natural and man-made light cast interesting shadows along the curved walls. The curves of the architecture, light, and shadows combine to form a wonderful spiral pattern that draws attention to the checkered floor at the lighthouse's base.
About Todd Blanchard
Growing up in the heat of South Louisiana, I enjoyed being indoors creating pencil and pen and ink sketches. My love of art led me to study art and architecture at the University of Southwestern Louisiana (now the University of Louisiana). After graduation and a move to East Tennessee, I found myself gainfully employed as a computer programmer, about as far away from an artistic experience as you can get. Living in the very scenic hills of East Tennessee has inspired me to continue my pursuit of artistic interests.
